Post/Stud Earrings

I have to share a warm fuzzy from the recent gun show we attended as a vendor. We live up to -and believe that competition breeds business. This is completely true. A customer came to me and told me her friend bought some earrings from a past gun show. They were 38 spl and they were so heavy in the front that they dipped her ear lobes down. She wanted them repaired. I told the customer that the vendor was on the other level and they may be able to fix them for her. The crystal was glued to the top of the primer, and I was afraid if we cut the shell down it would disturb the primer and possibly lose the crystal. We agreed to make the earring a short dangle instead of a post.

I learned a valuable lesson from this experience. I now have a new customer. I also know that 40, 38, and 357 shells are heavier and don't make the best post/stud earrings. As a result, OTGTG Bullets and Bling will begin using the hypo allergenic clutch post on the backs of those earrings for the customers who do not want/like dangles. We are also going to start using the slivers in our designs of posts for the heavier casing calibers. Thank you to our customers for the feedback and to help us make a better product.

The first pic is the older model that weigh the ears down. The second and third pic show a sliver in a "cup" and a sliver on a flat base.
